Driving Artificial Intelligence Governance: ECCI’s Insights at Decode 2025

Decode Conference

Manila, Philippines – September 9, 2025 – ECC International (ECCI), a leading consulting and training firm specializing in sustainability, governance, and business resilience, proudly participated in Decode 2025, the Philippines’ premier cybersecurity conference that brings together business leaders, digital disruptors, and subject matter experts to shape the future of enterprise transformation.

ECCI’s Delivery Head, Swapnil Bora, was invited as a distinguished speaker and assigned to the AI Governance track session, which drew a well-attended audience of professionals eager to understand the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence. His presentation, titled “Embedding the NIST Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) into Enterprise Governance Structures,” addressed one of the most urgent challenges for enterprises today: how to harness the potential of artificial intelligence while safeguarding trust, security, and accountability.

Swapnil outlined the seven pillars of trustworthy AI — valid and reliable, safe, secure and resilient, explainable, privacy-enhanced, fair, and accountable — stressing that these must serve as cornerstones for any organization deploying AI solutions.

He also walked participants through the core functions of the AI RMF, including:

  • Govern: Establishing organizational culture, roles, and oversight for AI risk.
  • Map: Contextualizing AI systems and identifying potential risks.
  • Measure: Assessing AI trustworthiness through rigorous testing, validation, and monitoring.
  • Manage: Prioritizing and adapting to risks with continuous feedback and governance updates.

To illustrate its practical application, Bora highlighted how enterprises can develop AI risk management profiles that align business objectives, threats, and resource decisions. This allows organizations to compare their current state vs. target state and build a clear roadmap for improvement.

“AI adoption in the Philippines is accelerating, with both startups and large enterprises exploring its potential,” said Swap. “But real progress isn’t defined by speed alone — it’s defined by responsibility. Embedding the AI RMF into enterprise governance ensures innovation remains ethical, secure, and resilient, while staying true to organizational values.”

ECCI’s participation in Decode 2025 reinforces its position as a trusted partner for organizations navigating the convergence of AI governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance. ECCI continues to support enterprises across Asia in strengthening resilience and driving sustainable growth in the digital era.
