ECC International Empowers Organizations with Climate Action Practitioner Training on GHG Accounting and Management

Manila, Philippines – ECC International (ECCI) successfully concluded the Climate Action Practitioner: GHG Accounting and Management training program, held in a hybrid format on May 16, 19, and 20, 2025. This initiative is part of ECCI’s ongoing commitment to bolster corporate capabilities in climate risk management and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting across the Philippines and the broader region.

This course is part of ECCI’s Sustainability Skills Series, designed to empower professionals with the expertise needed to drive sustainable practices within their organizations. By focusing on practical skills and knowledge, the series aims to bridge the sustainability skills gap and support the Philippines’ transition to a low-carbon economy.

The comprehensive three-day training provided participants with essential skills to set organizational and operational boundaries for GHG inventories, quantify emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, and develop effective emissions reduction strategies. The course also covered navigating regulatory compliance, understanding climate-related disclosure frameworks, and aligning practices with international standards such as the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064.

Delivered through a hybrid model, the training facilitated participation from a diverse array of sectors, underscoring the growing cross-industry commitment to integrating sustainability into core business strategies.

“This program empowers organizations to transition from climate awareness to impactful action,” said Swapnil Bora, Delivery Head at ECCI. “Robust GHG accounting is essential for developing credible climate strategies and ensuring long-term resilience.”

Participants engaged in expert-led discussions, practical exercises, and real-world case simulations, ensuring not only a solid grasp of technical concepts but also readiness to implement them within their organizations.

ECCI continues to support companies on their sustainability journeys through training, consulting, and innovative solutions aimed at achieving measurable environmental outcomes.
