APEX Global in partnership with ISACA conducted a free technical training on The Essentials of ISMS last February 24, 2012. The training was attended by thirty participants from companies such as SMART, Meralco, SM Investments and more companies in the banking industry. The objective of the event is to increase awareness for the importance and essential factors of ISMS. Information Security Management System - ISO 27001 is the standard that specifies requirements for managing an organization’s information security risks. With 133 clauses, ISMS may be a heavy subject to discuss but the training was delivered through a common sense and practical approach.
ISACA is a global membership association for IT and information systems professionals. Through the more than 190 chapters established in over 75 countries worldwide, ISACA provides its members with education, resource sharing, advocacy, professional networking, and a host of other benefits on a local level. With the mission to promote professional excellence through exceptional training programs, APEX Global partnered with ISACA to support them in advancing the skills development of its members for the Manila Chapter.
